International Watercolor Society, IWS is a non-profit watercolor
watercolor society was established in January 2012 with the objective of
promoting the worlds oldest and most deeply rooted painting technique;
the art of watercolor. Our headquarters is the ancientcity of Teos on
the eastern shores of the Aegean Sea. Teos has a history which goes back
2800 years. By 3rd Century BC the city was to become famous as being
the center of the Guild of the Artists.
Our goal is to promote peace by the use of art; the common language
of all the peoples of the world. Our activities involve bringing
watercolor artists and art-lovers together.
Aim is to Join the international family of watercolor painting &
to promote and popularize watercolor/watermedia in every country. IWS is
founded by Mr. Atanur Dogan with the aim of exchanging proposals and
artistic beauty as is the watercolor technique. To uplift standards
through discussions, seminars, workshops, master classes, inviting IWS
members from around the world. Aim is to showcase the work of all the
watercolor artists from every part of the world. Aim of IWS is to
interact with other watercolor artists & associations worldwide,
hold activities to exchange views & ideas to high the caliber &
help improve art-taste in the art-lovers & finally arranging
publications on different occasions” To Cooperate with already
established watercolor societies in the country.
